TERMS & CONDITIONS
EZANDA DAMES MAKEUP + HAIR ARTISTRY GENERAL BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

Bookings for any other services besides bridal hair and makeup services (e.g. mini makeover, professional hair and/or
makeup, makeup workshop, etc.) should be paid in full on the day you book your appointment with Ezanda, and should be paid via EFT, in order to secure your appointment date and time.

1. No cash payments will be allowed on the day of your appointment, your booking should be paid in full via EFT prior to your appointment date.
​
2. Cancellation policy: No refunds will be given for cancellations that are made 6 months or less before the booking. You will however be remunerated by means of a Ezanda voucher to the value of your booking which will be valid for 3 months thereafter.

3. No refund will be given for matric farewell bookings cancelled 6 months prior to the appointment date.
​
5. No more than one person can accompany you to your booking at our studio. Other people will be asked to wait outside for the duration of the booking.

4. If Ezanda is made to feel uncomfortable in anyway, or mistreated, or if anyone becomes abusive/ violent or displays
any offensive behavior prior to or on the day of the booking, we have the right to cancel the booking without refund.

All prices exclude traveling fees.

EZANDA DAMES MAKEUP + HAIR ARTISTRY WEDDING DAY AND EVENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
1. It is the responsibility of the named person on the booking to understand, agree to, and accept responsibility for all booking conditions, including all payments due by specified dates. By proceeding to pay a deposit, you accept that you are entering into a contract and you agree
to be bound by these conditions.
2. Once a (non - refundable) 50% deposit has been paid the named person on the booking agrees to be responsible for the full package price quoted. Once the quote is accepted the price is non- negotiable and the package price will still be charged if not all the agreed to services is ultimately required, or cancellations are made at a later date.
3. Travel expenses are included only if your venue falls in a 30km radius from Ezanda Dames’ Makeup + Hair Artistry. Should your venue be further than 30km, you will be charged a traveling fee of R7 per km from Ezanda Dames’ Makeup + Hair Artistry to your venue (one way only). (Ezanda Dames’ Makeup + Hair Artistry location: Nigel, Noycedale).
4. Immediate payment of a (non - refundable) deposit (half of the full quotation) is required in order to secure the wedding date. Any deposit is deducted from the final balance. The remaining balance is due in full 2 weeks prior the wedding day. Should no payment be received we have the right to cancel all services for your wedding date and all fees will still be payable.
5. Only weddings exceeding 8+ hours of time and R15 000 in total are reserved as a fully booked day. Specific time slots (on the time table) are given in order for both parties to be done and ready on time. Ezanda prefers being done with makeup and hair early for the rest of the vendors to complete their work. Failure to respect Ezanda’s time slots may result in nonredeemable and missed time which Ezanda will not be held responsible for.
6. You are required to give a minimum of 6 months' notice should you wish to reduce numbers or services booked on your wedding day. After such time the full amount for services cancelled will still be payable. All payments are the responsibility of the bride or named person on the quotation. Deposits are non - refundable as Ezanda has booked your slot in advance and has to cover her losses due to all the other bookings she had to declined to secure your spot. Should no payment be received we will proceed with legal action to recover losses.
7. Expenses for the Bride's first Hair and Makeup trial are included in the initial quotation. Any subsequent trial(s) for the bride or any of the bridal party members will be charged at an additional cost for hair and or makeup. All trials must be booked in advance, at least 2 months
prior to the wedding date.

8. Without a trial we will not accept responsibility if a desired look does not meet expectations on the wedding day and a refund will not be offered. Prior notice must be given if you wish to cancel part of, or reschedule an appointment.
89. We reserve the right to cancel a booking following a trial, without a refund of the deposit, in circumstances where there is a mismatch in styles, approach, expectations and/or the client is uncooperative, not open to suggestions or makes the hair and makeup artist (Ezanda) feel uncomfortable in any way or form.
10. We strive to ensure that all participants are happy with the results of a trial before they leave the appointment. In the unlikely event that you, or any of your bridal party members, decide after your trial that you are not satisfied, we request that you contact us immediately so we can resolve the matter. Refunds, retrials, or cancellations without charges are solely at our discretion.
11. All contact, whether it is general inquiries or changes to a booking, must be from the bride or the individual responsible for payment only. Changes to your booking by adding another person onto your original booking can only be accepted if time/resources on your wedding day allow it and will require prior notice and payment due at the specified time.
12. Should another individual be added on the day of the wedding, we have the right to accept or decline depending on the available time/resources. A cash payment must be done immediately on the wedding day. Adding extra people on the day, without prior warning, may jeopardize the quality of our work because of limited time available to us to perform the service and may delay the ceremony.
13. Makeup and Hair for children (i.e. Flower girls) that is not specified in the accepted quote or that has not been arranged and paid for beforehand will ONLY be done if immediate payment is made and only if the schedule allows it
.
14. In the unlikely event that we cannot attend on the day of your wedding due to unforeseen and unfortunate events or circumstances, all payment will immediately be refunded (including deposit and extra trial fees). Ezanda has an extremely strong work ethic and will not cancel with her bride was it not for extreme circumstances. These circumstances will include: Ezanda being admitted to hospital; Ezanda being in a car accident before or on her way to
your venue; Ezanda had an injury to her hand or arm, impairing her to perform a top level quality service, etc. If at all possible, we will work with you to find an alternative reputable stylist/artist or salon to cater for your requirements however; any such booking will remain solely the responsibility of yourself.
15. If our Ezanda is made to feel uncomfortable in anyway, or mistreated, or if anyone becomes abusive/ violent or displays any offensive behavior prior to or on the day of the wedding, we have the right to cancel the booking without refund or walk out of the booking.

6. In the event of extreme weather making it dangerous or impossible for us to reach your venue, we reserve the right to cancel your booking. We will refund all monies as a gesture of goodwill, excluding hair and/or makeup trial costs and deposit.
17. If we experience any delays on the wedding day which are out of our control, for example: load shedding, road blocks, road works, accidents on our way to your wedding venue, bridal party members or bride not cooperating with the sent wedding day program, refunds will not be given in the event that one or more services are forfeited. If you are aware of any factors which could delay or hinder our journey, such as diversions, strikes, road constructions, road closures, speed restrictions, etc. please advise us as soon as possible so we can factor this into our route.
Ezanda will do her utmost best in each circumstance to ensure that her service will be delivered on time. Due to strikes being common in South Africa, Ezanda will not be held responsible in the case of an unforeseen strike that causes road blocks, closures, danger and if the strike delays arrival time/ makes it impossible for Ezanda to reach the event or wedding venue on time or in worst cases, at all. Ezanda will not be held responsible if she has to cancel due to dangerous strikes that could put her life or vehicle at risk.
No refund will be offered for any delays caused by other wedding vendors, guests or members of the bridal party not cooperating to the sent wedding program. A minimum of 0.40 hours will be allocated for hair and makeup application per person. If you suspect any member of your bridal party may pose a challenge in any way, they are encouraged to have a trial to avoid potential delays on the day.
18. You must ensure that our team will be working in a suitable environment with adequate lighting, electricity points, and hand washing facilities. Please ensure every member of your party is aware of timings on the day and that they need to be, and remain, available at all times.
Ezanda usually work faster than the set out times indicated on the wedding day program, thus we ask that all bridal party members be available when Ezanda is done with the lady before the next.
18. Please insure that there is a bar chair or high chair for makeup available in the room that the bridal party will be getting ready. If the venue does not have such chairs available, kindly inform us so that we bring our own chair along on the wedding day.
19. You are to inform us of any allergies or reactions to certain products or chemicals in makeup and or hair products prior to any makeup and or hair product application. If no allergies are stated we cannot be held liable for any allergic reactions, injuries, losses, damage, costs, claims, and actions that may occur to you or any other member of your party. Common allergies that we have found: allergy to latex (found in the adhesive used with false eyelashes). It is extremely rare to have an immediate allergic reaction to latex, your eyelid may just feel a bit tender the following day, but this is not serious and you will still be able to wear false eyelashes on the wedding day.
Ezanda makes it a priority to only use top quality, allergy tested products which have very little or no traces of paraben, to ensure your safety and the longevity of your makeup look on the wedding day.

20. Prior to having makeup applied and hair styled please ensure that you (the bride) and your bridal party are fully prepared before we start. On a wedding day, time is of the essence. In order for us to keep to the schedule and finish on the agreed time, we kindly ask that the following need be done by the bride as well as the bridal party before we arrive and start with our services for the day:
- If teeth must be brushed before makeup session,
- Contact lenses are applied (if applicable),
- Face must be clean and moisturized,
- Hair must be washed the night before, no heavy conditioners, product free (hairspray, mousse, gel, etc.)
- To avoid any delays, everyone (Bride & Bridal party) will be done in the same room.
Please take note: We will not move rooms on the wedding day to complete our services, for example, do some of the bridal party members in one room and then move to another room to complete our services. The reason for this is simple; so many things can go wrong on the wedding day and may take
up time to perform services. To move rooms takes up a lot of our time because we have to pack up all tools, appliances, styling aids, makeup products etc. and
reassemble in the next room, this just waists precious time and believe me, this day goes quicker than you think. For this reason, we strongly suggest that all bridal party members as well as the bride be done in the same room.
21. For their safety please ensure babies and children are kept away from any styling tools and appliances. Styling irons are extremely hot, and hazardous, and we will not be held responsible if a child is injured as a result of the parent or caretaker not being present. Children must also be kept away from Ezanda’s makeup case at all times. The content inside of her makeup case is extremely expensive and can easily break when bumped off the working station.
Should a child or any person neglecting to respect Ezanda's work space, accidentally break one or more of her makeup products, the person on aforementioned original quotation, will be held responsible for the amount of the damaged products.
22. We ask that brides provide us with photographs of their hair and makeup from their professional photographer as it is very important that we keep our portfolio up to date. If you wish to not be featured on our social media page(s) or website, we ask that you notify us ahead of time.
23. If any Bridal Party member, including the Bride, messes up or ruins their makeup or hair to the degree that a new full session should be done, the person on aforementioned original quotation, will be held responsible for the immediate EFT/payment before a new session.
Touch up’s are only to enhance makeup that has already been applied and smudges that happened by accident. It does not count for deliberate neglect and therefore new sessions.
The acceptance of the final invoice is an automatic agreement of Ezanda Dames’ Makeup + Hair Artistry Terms & Conditions.
